Surviving the Dominion Fertility

So as the Washington, DC region slowly returns to normal following the Snowpocalypse of 2016, I thought that I would take a minute to reflect on the events of the past week.

Readers of this blog probably remember that I grew up outside of Boston in the town of Milton, MA. The Boston area has received its share of snow events over the years including the Blizzard of 1978 during which THOUSANDS of stranded vehicles turned Route 128 (think Washington Beltway) into a snow covered parking lot as commuters ran out of gas trying to keep warm and then abandoned their vehicles further preventing snow removal! It was epic. A few years before the storm of 1978 there were several other large storms including one that led to my brothers venturing out on our roof to clear the snow before it collapsed (I guess). Note the long sideburns and cool coat sported by my oldest brother Mike as he tries to avoid the TV antenna (my kids have no idea what this is) on the roof. He and my brother Steve survived…
